Qigong is a form of longevity exercise practiced in China for over 1500 years. It is not only a physical exercise suitable for adults of any age, but also philosophically and scientifically rooted. Qigong movements are based on the revolving theory of Tai-Chi. Physically, Qigong stimulates energy flow and blood circulation, balances the body’s internal energies and vitalizes the mind and body. This increased circulation stimulates our metabolism, bringing in fresh and new energy while expelling bad, stagnant Qi (energy). Dayan Qigong consists of 2 sets of 32 slow and easy-to-learn movements. It is the safest and most effective set of movements in China. It can improve illness and further a youthful life and healthy mind and body. Peggy Dey is a skilled, compassionate and patient teacher. This class is taught in two 8-week programs.
